Panchkula Haryana Election Result 2019: Gyanchand Gupta of BJP wins from Panchkula

Haryana’s Panchkula (Panchkula) assembly seat has been won by Gyan Chand Gupta of BJP. He has got 61537 votes. He had a tough electoral contest with Chandra Mohan of Congress. Chandra Mohan got 55904 votes.

Seat Profile: The Scheduled Caste population in Urban (General) seat is 12.36% and the Scheduled Tribe population is 0%. The literacy rate of the district in which this assembly seat is located is 81.88%. In the assembly elections 2019, there were a total of 210149 eligible voters, out of which 111467 were males, 98676 females and 6 were third gender voters. Apart from these, 376 service voters were also registered. In the 2014 assembly elections, there were a total of 195971 eligible voters, out of which 104110 were males, 91864 females and 0 were from third gender. Apart from these, 286 service voters were also registered. In 2009, the total number of eligible voters in this seat was 143985. The sex ratio in Panchkula seat is 885.25.

Former Winner/MLA: In the 2014 Haryana Assembly elections, K Gian Chand Gupta defeated INLD candidate in this seat by a margin of 44602 votes i.e. 34.63% of the total votes polled in this seat. In 2014, the vote share of BJP in this seat was 54.28%. In 2009, Devender Kumar Bansal’s INC defeated INLD candidate in this seat by a margin of 12260 votes i.e. 14.82% of the total votes polled in this seat.

In the Lok Sabha Elections 2019, BJP secured maximum votes in Panchkula Assembly Constituency of Ambala Lok Sabha seat. BJP won the Ambala parliamentary seat.
