Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa on Friday said the expansion or reshuffle of his cabinet would be finalized within three days and the swearing-in program of new ministers would be planned after that. He said, ‘I discussed with my national president JP Nadda about cabinet expansion – what to do, how to do it, how to make changes.’
Yediyurappa said that according to him in two days he would confirm and in three-four days, a program would be planned for the swearing-in of the new ministers. He told reporters here that everything would be finalized within three days. Asked about some people holding meetings with him to join the cabinet, Yediyurappa said, “Such discussions keep happening. MLAs will express their opinion, I would not like to discuss about it.
Amid waiting for an expansion or reshuffle in the state cabinet, Deputy Chief Minister Laxman Savadi said earlier in the day that the BJP high command is likely to convey its decision in about a week. “The chief minister has apprised the party’s national president JP Nadda about all the related matters here, the decision will come out in four to six days,” Savadi told reporters in Kalaburgi.
Yediyurappa, after his meeting with Nadda on cabinet expansion in Delhi on November 18, had said that the party’s national president would discuss the issue with other leaders in a few days. Meanwhile, Water Resources Minister Ramesh Jarkiholi has met BJP National General Secretary BL Santosh in New Delhi.
