Mexico. At least eight people have died and three are missing after the Grace Hurricane hit eastern Mexico. This information was given by the Governor of Veracruz Province, Cuitlahuac García. García said on Saturday that storm Grace, which reached Veracruz with winds of up to 205 km per hour, flooded more than 20 municipalities. This is the second Atlantic hurricane of the season. He said at least eight people were killed in the storm and three were reported missing.
He said that police and army personnel are engaged in relief and rescue work in the storm-affected areas. Flood waters after the storm have flooded homes and inundated roads and efforts are on to repair power cuts in many areas.
He said that due to the storm and flood in Nautala Municipality, a large number of crops were destroyed and the roads were flooded. According to the report of the National Water Commission (Conagua), Hurricane Grace weakened.
