Bihani told that the previous record was also in the name of this tea. Then this tea was sold at a price of 50 thousand rupees per kg. On August 13 last year, another special tea of Assam made a record. Golden Butterfly tea from Dikom Tea Estate was sold at GTAC at a price of Rs 75,000 per kg.
Vishnu Tea Company of Guwahati, which bought tea this year, will sell it on its e-commerce website 9amtea.com. In a conversation with Deccan Herald, Rajan Lohia of Manohari Tea Estate said that 2.5 kg of tea was prepared this year, out of which 1.2 kg was sold in the auction held on Thursday. “The remaining tea will be available at select outlets including Guwahati Tea Auction Centre,” he said.
