Ambala city Haryana Election Result 2019: BJP’s Aseem Goel wins from Ambala City

Asim Goyal of BJP has won the Ambala City (Ambala City) assembly seat of Haryana. He has got 64896 votes. Independent candidate Nirmal Singh Mohra stood second. He got 55944 votes. Jasbir of Congress stood third by securing 20091 votes.

Seat Profile: The Scheduled Caste population in Urban (General) seat is 18.14% and the Scheduled Tribe population is 0%. The literacy rate of the district in which this assembly seat is located is 81.75%. In the assembly elections 2019, there were a total of 254149 eligible voters, out of which 133524 were males, 120618 females and 7 were third gender voters. Apart from these, 706 service voters were also registered. In the 2014 assembly elections, there were a total of 228573 eligible voters, out of which 120601 were males, 107972 females and 0 were from third gender. Apart from these, 262 service voters were also registered. In 2009, the total number of eligible voters in this seat was 187813. Sex Ratio of Ambala City seat is 903.34.

Former Winner/MLA: In 2014 Haryana Vidhan Sabha elections, K Aseem Goel defeated HJCPV candidate in this seat by a margin of 23252 votes i.e. 14.4% of the total votes polled in this seat. In 2014, the vote share of BJP in this seat was 37.29%. In 2009, Venod Sharma’s INC defeated SAD candidate in this seat by a margin of 35550 votes i.e. 27.02% of the total votes polled in this seat.

In the Lok Sabha Elections 2019, BJP secured maximum votes in Ambala City Assembly Constituency of Ambala Lok Sabha seat. BJP won the Ambala parliamentary seat.
